A Robert Stephenson & Hawthorns No. 7544 from 1949 this locomotive was built for work at the coal wharfs in Poole and Southampton. After service the Salisbury Steam Locomotive Preservation Trust acquired it. It has a wheel arrangement of 0-4-0ST (Saddle Tank) and came into the Great Western Society collection in 1969 before being used in preservation.
This is one of the longest residents of Didcot having spent longer here than it did in commercial service.
