RECREATIONAL TRACKS

One Mile Track

— 40 minutes

This walk through remnant native beech forest follows an old pipeline up to a dam in One Mile Creek. After a steep climb the track comes out at the Midway Clearing on the Skyline Road.

Skyline Gondola — 1 hour

Follow the One Mile Dam track to the Midway Clearing and then the Skyline Road takes to the gondola summit with magnificent views.

Fernhill Loop — 4 hours

Walkers can access this track by following the One Mile Track to Midway Clearing. Fernhill Loop is signposted a short distance up Skyline Road. Bikers will need to use the Skyline Rd to get to start.

Ben Lomond Peak (1748m) — 8 hours

A demanding climb and full day trip but rewarded by spectacular views. Track entrance is next to Fernhill Loop start. Water and warm clothing is required in summer. Only those with alpine experience should attempt in winter months.

Car parking is immediately adjacent to the sign.
