The town common in the center of Pittsburg, New Hampshire is home to several historical artifacts, including this fairly-well preserved Civil War era cannon. Although no specific details regarding history or type are displayed with the cannon, it appears to be a rather common 12 pounder iron piece.

According to a sign attached to the display, the cannon was loaned to the town of Pittsburg by Howard C. Young.
