The waymark corresponds to the hiking / biking trail entrance at the southeast corner of the parking lot north of Nobes Road. This entrance is the easiest for visitors from Interstate 80 to reach. Come in to York on Lincoln Avenue, turn east on Nobes road, and enter the parking lot just east of the City shop building (just west of the Beaver Creek bridge on Nobes Road.)
The western end of Beaver Creek Park merges into Harrison Park (WM77Z7). There are major entrances into Beaver Creek Park at Kingsley Avenue (WM757H), Nobes Road, and Blackburn Avenue (WM756K). Subsidiary entrances are located on Lincoln Avenue, the south end of Platte Avenue, and at the south end of Nebraska Avenue. The hiking / biking trail system that runs the length of Beaver Creek Park extends into Harrison Park on the west.
In addition to the lighted hiking / biking trail system, Beaver Creek Park has a lighted baseball field at Nobes Road, some picnic facilities, and the tennis / basketball court (WM758H) on the west end (across Kingsley Avenue from Harrison Park).
One unique locally produced manhole cover is waymarked in Beaver Creek Park (WM73AK).
Sept. 2009: This long description will evolve as other related waymarks are developed.
