Fuscher Törl is name of memorial, designed by the internationally renowned architect Clemens Holzmeister, that reminds us of the workers who died during the building of the Großglockner Hochalpenstraße. Here is also vantage-point terrace, with a view of the Grossglockner, is also one of the loveliest locations for photographs. On this terrace you can pay 1 Euro for smashing 10 Eurocent to four kind of smashed coins (with marmot, ibex, Fusher Törl monument or bicycle racer, respectively...).
Since 1935 the Großglockner Hochalpenstraße (Grossglockner High Alpine Road) has played host to more than 50 million visitors. It is the most famous of all European alpine roads and terminates at the highest mountain and the largest glacier in Austria, the Grossglockner (3798 m).
