Harrison Park (named in honor of Rev. C.S. Harrison and his sons, who operated Harrison Nursery) evolved from York's original City Park. Many of the mature trees in the park were planted by Harrisons. The Beaver Creek channel has been re-aligned so most of the park's early features are gone. Harrison Park includes picnic pavilion with fireplaces,
playground equipment (WM7B9Z), sand volleyball, horseshoes, and
combination tennis / basketball court on the east side of Kingsley Avenue at the west end of Beaver Creek Linear Park.
The west end of Harrison Park abuts the York Country Club golf course, and the east end merges into Beaver Creek Linear Park. The post and plank Harrison Park sign is on the north side of Beaver Creek, on the Academy Avenue end of the street bridge over Beaver Creek.
