On the northern outskirts of Brno, in Sobešice, on the wooded hill (Sharp Hot) - "TREE", the granite memorial, which commemorates the first trigonometrical point (1759) on our territory.

?Pylon demolished on the site of the Jesuit Chapel of St. Cross, the center formed in 1759, the first focused trigonometric point. Measurements made director of the Vienna observatory J. Liesganig to determine the length of 1 degree meridian of Vienna. Pylon of the monument is located on the kitten "Tree" south of the village Sobešice.
