Springfield Union Station in Springfield, Illinois, is part of the complex of buildings that together form the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and is located at 500 East Madison Street (5th & Madison) in downtown Springfield, adjacent to the Lincoln Presidential Library.
Union Station also doubles as the Visitor and Welcoming Center for the Library and Museum. This location will also be a wealth of information about all of the Lincoln sites in Springfield and surrounding area. Historical site such as Lincoln's Home, Lincoln's Tomb, Lincoln/Herndon Law Office, and the Old State Capitol, are just a few of the sites to visit and enjoy. Don't forget to visit New Salem only about 30 minutes away toward Historic Petersburg, Illinois.
