This marker is the dedication monument for Forward Operating Base Lindsey near the city of Kandahar, Afghanistan. It is located on a US Military installation, so proper clearance and identification is required to enter. The Soldier the monument is dedicated to, as well as the FOB, was a member of the Oregon Army National Guard over here serving with the 205th Corps Regional Advisory Group as part of Combined Joint Task Force-Phoenix V. The monument is in memory of Staff Sergeant Nathaniel "Brad" Lindsey who lost his life 10 September 2006 when his Humvee encountered undetermined ordnance from enemy forces during patrol operations in Shajoy, Afghanistan.
