The rooms are clean, the rates are reasonable, and the folks who own it seem real nice. What more could you ask for?
This is a family run business that takes pride in its establishment. Very friendly even though we were showing up in the middle of the night.
After speaking with the owners, who kindly talked to us for an extended period of time in the middle of the night, we found out that they have extensively renovated the place. It was worth every penny and is located right at the New York/Massachusetts state lines. It was a great place to stay coming back from Boston and spending the day waymarking down the Mohawk Trail. We were able to get there from the Mohawk Trail by zipping down SR 22 right into their parking lot. From there we were able to catch the NY Thruway to continue our trip back home to Michigan. It was a great refresher before heading out on the LONG drive across New York. I definitely recommend a stay here for people passing through.
The family takes great pride in their establishment and works hard to keep things under control there. As an example a group of college students arrived while we were speaking with them and they were quick to get them checked in and make sure that there would no rowdiness or loudness to disturb the current guests.
Things are really dark at night out the wilds of NY at night, but their giant neon sign up on the hill was a shining beacon that drew us in for a great nights stay. Follow the light to stay at one of the best independent motels we've stayed at since our trip down Rt 66.
