?This monument built from stones donated by the local farmers was erected in rememberance of the efforts to get postal service in the area. It has four plaques, one on each side and another at the base of the monument. Those involved with the erection of this monument include Michigan Rural Letter Carriers' Association, National Rural Letter Carriers' Association, Michigan State Grange, Kalamazoo & Calhoun County Chapters D.A.R., Climax Men's Fellowship Club, and of course the local farmers.
