L'Église de Notre Dame in Cérences was built in the 12 century, and significantly modified in the 18th. The date 1757 is inscribed over one of the doors.

According to the information board outside the church (picture attached, in French) the church originates from the 12th century, and was significantly modified in the middle of the 18th century. There is a date of 1757 inscribed over a door on the South side and this is what has been used in the waymark.
From an old postcard photograph that I have seen it would appear that the steeple was missing in 1948, presumably war damage, but I can not find any reference to this in any documentation.
