This bell is now located on the front lawn of the North Station, Laurinburg Fire Department. It was moved from the old fire station on Fairley Street in 1982 when the two new fire stations were built. One of the older firemen many years ago when I was a wee lad of six told me it was first located near Main Street where it could be rung in the event of a fire. Now it is on permanent display the North Station on North Main Street in Laurinburg, NC
