This memorial resides in the middle of the historic district. It sits in front of the Gambrel House. Its location and appearance is fairly typical of a World War memorial one might find in a small town that has gone unchanged for centuries. One might very well imagine the towns people coming out to this patch of land for Memorial Day, Flag Day and other important holidays of remembrance for collective quiet mediation, prayer and song. It is ironic given the peace loving nature of Quakers, and their well-known objection to war, there should be not one but two war memorials in town with a lot of names.

This memorial features a soldier at attention on a pedestal. The soldier is dressed in full military uniform with a duffle bag in back of him. There is a nice brick path which leads off to it. The section of land it is on is, I would imagine, the "center of town". On this patch of grass, with the memorial in the center, is a black, rope chain which cordons off the area. There are four evergreens at every corner of memorial square.

The front of the memorial, that is the part in front of the Gambrel House has the following inscription on it:

Erected by the citizens of Falls Township to commemorate the patriotic services of these men & women in the World War 1917 - 1919.
Underneath the inscription is a list of 10 names with stars after them. Presumably, these are the townspeople who died in the War.

On the left side is another list, this one containing 21 names, with no stars next to any of them. On the right side, another 21 names, also with no stars.
