Sts. Peter and Paul Church was remodeled in 1996 and indoor plumbing was added. Until then, this outhouse would have been in use.
Location:
This privy sits to the rear of the property of St. Peter and Paul Chapel. The “new” Roman Catholic church was built in 1917. According to the Chapel’s website (http://www.sts-peterandpaul.org/), the church was closed in 1996 and a group of concerned members bought the property. They remodeled it, as part of the remodeling was adding indoor plumbing. The Chapel reopened in 1997 and is now used as a wedding chapel.
