This beautiful ride is between Painters Lodge in Campbell River, and April Point Lodge on Quadra Island. Both lodges are owned by Oak Bay Marine Group and they operate the shuttle. It is a 10-12 minute ride each way and runs on a continuous basis all day in the summer.
Guests and staff use it to get back and forth, but it is also available free to the general public. Just walk down to the wharf and hop on! Their hope is that when you get to the other side you will have some drinks or a meal, which is a nice experience, but not necessary. You can have a wander around and admire the scenery, you can play chess on the giant boardgame, rent a bike or scooter and explore Quadra Island, or pamper yourself at the spa.
