Point Leflore - N.E. 2 mi. at junction of Tallahatchie and Yalobusha Rivers is site of extinct town founded in 1830's by Greenwood Leflore. Achieved great prosperity in era before Civil War.

Apparently, Greenwood Leflore had a falling out with the businessmen of his namesake town and created a rival town.
