Officially known as Cambridge Junction Bridge (see Vermont Historic Marker).

"Poland" is for Luke P. Poland, a retired judge* who led a lawsuit against the town of Cambridge to have the bridge built.

Bring bug spray. Of six bridges I visited today, this is the only one at which I was attacked by a herd of mosquitos. In broad daylight, no less (they usually wait until dusk).

*Admitted to the bar at 21, Chief Justice of the Vermont Supreme Court at 45, two years as US Senator, eight as Congressman from Vermont.
