Mount Rogers has several walking tracks, a fitness track and good dog walking. There are four Geocaches at the time of writing. There is a second peak with a survey point (BL146) at S35º 11.840 E149º 03.174.
Unlike a lot of Canberra's "Trig" hills that are bald, Mt Rogers has open woodland, consisting native trees and shrubs and scattered remnant native trees, native grasses, such as Kangaroo Grass, Wallaby Grass.
