This memorial is dedicated to those members of the Lewistown Viscose Plant that served their country in World War II. It is located just southwest of the Mifflin County Memorial Bridge on the south end of Lewistown, PA. The memorial stands approximately 8 feet high and shows the names of those that served.
The physical location of the memorial is on the east end of the former U.S. Viscose Plant that was partially destroyed in the 1972 flood. There are several walking paths and benches near the Juniata River leading across the Mifflin Memorial Bridge to Victory Park.
Memorial text:
"In honor of those from this plant who served our country in World War II. They fought for freedom of worship and speech for freedom from want and from fear. 1941-1945"
