The Civic Auditorium was dedicated to local veterans of the First World War and was erected in 1921. The building was designed in the Neo-Classical Revival style by Portland architects Houghtaling and Dougan. The building is a well preserved example of an early multiple use community center with an auditorium, Gymnasium, and a banquet/ballroom.
