East Cobb has served Christ in its community since 1837 with the founding of Marietta Campground. In 1872, the church became a separate entity known as "Campground Methodist Church" -- a name that survived until 1987, when the name was changed to East Cobb United Methodist Church. In its long history, many have come to experience the transforming power and healing of Christ through the caring ministry of His people here. Through all we say and do, we seek to love and serve God, each other, and our community. We're not perfect, but we minister in the assurance that God is with us as we journey together to discover what it means to be a people of faith.
