Texas remembers the valor and devotion of her sons who served at Chickamauga September 19-20, 1863
Here in the Great Confederate Breakthrough Texans vied with each other to prove themselves worthy of the fame won by their brothers on other fields.

6th & 10th Texas Inf & 15th Texas Cav., Dismounted, Col. Roger Q Mills & Lt Col T Scott Anderson, 17th, 18th, 24th & 25th Texas Cav, Dismounted, Col. FC Wilkes, Lt Col John T Coit & Maj William A Taylor; Douglas' Texas Arty, Capt James P Douglas, Gen James Desher's Brigade, Gleburn's Division
5th Texas Inf., Col William H Young; 10th texas Cav, Lt Col CR Earp, 14th Texas Cav, Col JE Camp, 32nd Texas Cav, Col Jules A Andrews (all units serving as infantry)
