St. John th Evangelist Catholic Church and School has a long history in Warrenton, VA. The original church was ddicated in 1861. But the parish was established in 1874. Two years later, Father Jim Dougherty was the first parish resident priest. Post World War II, more land was establishd and a new school was erected in 1960. In 1965, Thee Parish dedicated the current stone church.
The Church provides: Parish School (Preschool to 8th Grade), Mass Times and Sacrements, Parish Groups, Religious Education, Youth Ministry, Music Department, Weekly Bulletins, Prayer and Spirituality and Facility Booking and Scheduling.
Mass conducted: Saturdays, Holy Days, First Fridays and in the morning during the week.
Sacrements - Confessions, Baptisim, Marriage and annoiting the sick.
