If only all Doughboy statues were as well preserved as this one, which can be found in a small memorial park on W. Milwaukee Street in Janesville, Wisconsin. The statue bears Visquesney's 1920 Georgia copyright, and according to "doughboysearcher.com" it was dedicated in 1926.

The Doughboy stands atop a hewn granite pedestal that is proportional to the size of the statue. The front of the pedestal bears a plaque that reads: "Presented to the city of Janesville by the Lions Club in honor of the men and women who served their country in the world war, 1914-1918". Also included on each side are plaques with approximately 1200 names of those who served.

The overall condition of the statue, pedestal, and plaques is excellent. They have been either well preserved or perfectly restored.
