NJGS 5 Y 1 2000 is a New Jersey Geodetic Survey survey disk (geodetic control survey station) located in the northwest angle of the intersection of US Highway 9 and County Route 631 (Old Tuckahoe Road) in the Marmora section of Upper Township, Cape May County, NJ. The disk is mounted flush with the surface of the ground, about 42 feet north-northeast of the centerline of Old Tuckahoe Road, about 24 feet northwest of the centerline of US Highway 9, and 7.5 feet northwest from the center of a storm drain inlet on the northwest edge of US Highway 9. The disk was monumented by the New Jersey Geodetic Survey in 2000, and it is stamped 5 Y 1 2000. It is in the National Geodetic Survey database at PID = AM6980 (
visit link) To reach from the Garden State Parkway, take exit 25 to County Highway 623 (Roosevelt Blvd) westbound. Go northwest on County Highway 623 for about 0.30 miles to the intersection with US Highway 9. Turn right and go northeast on US Highway 9 for about 0.40 miles to the reverse Y intersection with County Route 631. Turn left onto County Route 631 and immediately park in a pullout area on the north side. Walk east along the north side of County Route 631 for about 75 feet to the intersection and the station in the northwest angle.
