The Original Shoe Tree of Chagrin was the subject of a children's book. It was cut down to provide room to widen the road. Now a new shoe tree has been started at nearly the same spot.

In late 2008 the original Shoe Tree of Chagrin was cut down. In July 2009 the landowners started a new shoe tree near the site of the original. The roller skates from the original tree have been mounted in honor of the original tree.
The tree is located on Savage Road in Chagrin Falls, Ohio (Bainbridge). As with the original tree, there is no parking at the tree, but the tree can be visited by parking at the nearby Frohring Meadows Park. The drive for parking at Frohring Meadows is available on Savage Road.
