At the north end of the overpass is the Private First Class David E. Freestone Vietnam War memorial plaque. PFC Freestone's memorial plaque is located on a pillar at the northeast end of the underpass on the north side of Colfax Street.
Private First Class David E. Freestone , 1st Infantry Division, died of wounds from small arms fire on August 27, 1969, in Binh Duong, Republic of South Vietnam. His body was recovered. PFC Freestone’s name is on the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington, D.C., panel 19W, line 124.

SP5 Harry L. Theurkauf's memorial plaque is at the south end of the overpass. His memorial plaque is located on a pillar at the southeast end of the underpass on the north side of Hansen Way.
Specialist Five Harry L. Theurkauf, 25th Infantry Division, died of wounds on June 5, 1968, in Binh Duong, Republic of South Vietnam. His body was recovered. Specialist Theurkauf’s name is on the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington, D.C., panel 60W, line 23.
