The popular Rock Springs-Fairview Bike Trail could spell disaster for bicyclists and turtles alike. If an inattentive cyclist cannot avoid a Box Turtle looking for its next meal, the collision could send both into trees.

So this Eastern Box Turtle was moved towards the pine forest it was headed for. Perhaps it thought the food would be an easier find there instead of the decidious forest and wetlands on the other side of the trail.
