This area is part of the Agua Caliente Indian Reservation and there is a toll gate at N33 45.995 W116 32.335. Gates are open 8 - 5 seven days a week. Admission is $8 for adults.

The Indian Grinding Mortar
The Indian women of this area used the grinding mortar for pulverizing mesquite beans, acorns, wild oats, etc. A long slim rock was used to do the pounding and grinding. This rock is named pestle in English and paw-wau in Indian. the stone mortar is called kwau-la-waul in Indian.
