The original church in Kostino (now part of Korolev town) was built in 17th century. After 1917 revolution the church was closed and plundered, and definitely demolished in 1954.
In 1995 the local community decided to rebuild the church, started collecting donations and established a temporary church. The construction of the current church started in July 2003 and finished in November 2005.
