the Salisbury Southern Railroad Passenger Depot, was designed by Frank Pierce Milburn and built in 1907-1908. The station is an excellent example of a Spanish Mission style brick structure. The building spans the length of two city blocks and includes a two-course water table dividing the dark red brick base and tan brick body of the building, Spanish tile roof, and a dominating central three and one-half story tower ornamented by projecting gargoyles.
The building was listed individually on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.

It was purchased by Historic Salisbury Foundation in 1985 and sensitively restored with private funds as a conference center and offices in 1990-93. It also houses the Amtrack train depot.
