Per the Appalachian Quilt Trail website (visit link) , the “German Pinwheel” quilt pattern was taken from a family heirloom quilt which was brought by boat from Germany and then by covered wagon to the Fudge Farm. The quilt is stored in a cedar chest up stairs in the farmhouse.
Your Visit:
Early morning drive on the way to scout camp. Enjoyed this stop for historical farm and quilt in the misty quietness of the valley. Normally would be up on Hwy 11W, so this is the road less traveled...
