UPDATE: The Bend-Fort Rock District office at this location closed on Nov. 10, 2011.
The Bend-Fort Rock District is located in Red Oaks Square on NE Third Street. The office houses the district ranger and his staff. The combined Bend-Fort Rock Ranger District is the largest district on the 1.6 million acre Deschutes National Forest. The district also manages the Newberry National Volcanic Monutment. The front desk offers visitor information and sells maps and permits.
