The tiny hamlet of Fleming, SK is in the process of restoring this fine old building. Standing right beside the busy Canadian Pacific Railway main line, and a few metres off the Trans-Canada Highway, the old elevator is right in the thick of things. Scroll down to page 3 of this link for a neat story: http://www.world-spectator.com/archives/0206s1.pdf.
Also, the project has gained attention from the Federal Government: http://www.world-spectator.com/archives/0206s1.pdf.
A sad note: The elevator
burned to the ground on February 9, 2010.
