The Franklin county courthouse is located in Ottawa, Kansas. It was built in 1893 and was designed by George P. Washburn of Ottawa. He was a prominent architect of the time and designed fifteen courthouses in three states.

The courtroom on the second floor of the courthouse is unchanged with the exception of a rear balcony added to provide fire access to the third floor.

The courthouse was placed on the National Registry of Historic Places on March 17, 1972.
