Not sure when this station was built. It is probable that it shut down in the late 1930's early 1940's when most of the town moved about 3 miles further from the Ohio River. The town once was one of the more important towns in Illinois, it saw recurring floods, however the flood of 1937 was so catastrophic that it was decided to move the town about 3 miles away and most businesses shut down at that time.
