The labyrinth is on the West Sevier Street side of Holy Trinity Luthern Church. It is constructed of poured concrete in a bed of red rocks with some landscaping. A nearby maple tree will someday provide shade from the noonday heat. This location is near Holston Medical Center.
Prayerfully walked the path a couple of times - noting the dedication marker for a young man who had passed away in 1990. But I learned more this evening through a quick internet search which found portions of the book Answers to Life by Robert Foster Russell in Google Books. Darren was diagnosed with a rare cancer. Through the Dream Makers organization, the Golnitz family was able to attend a 1990 World Series game in California. Two days after returning to Kingsport from that trip, Darren passed away.
