Frýdlant’s town hall on T.G. Masaryk Square bears a striking resemblance to the city hall at Liberec. This is because both buildings were designed by the famous architect Franz von Neumann from Vienna.

For centuries, the northern Bohemian town of Frýdlant has been associated with the castles and chateaus, around which it was built in the 14th century. Apart from castles, the town also boasts a pseudo renaissance town hall, a 16th century church, the annual Wallenstein festival, the Frýdlant Summer Jazz Workshop and the International Festival of Children’s Song.
