Passing through the seaside town of Mokau we noticed this new Fish and Chip and Takeaways shop. It had only just opened for business and the staff were friendly and eager to give excellent service. They provide fresh fish cooked in a light crisp batter, the fish varieties depend on what is available daily. Also available are burgers, pizzas, coffee and drinks. Having only just opened they are keen to become a success and are willing to provide whatever request, additional salad could be possible if you ask.
The shop may be extended in the future to provide more seating and tables. It is situated on the seaward side of the main highway, just past the road triangle going south, look for the black frontage and the dolphins. Do stop and give them your support and you will receive "friendly Mokau service" and delicious "country style food".
