"Since 1910, St. Albert Fire Services has proudly served St. Albert citizens. The department strives to be an industry leader in fire suppression, rescue and advanced life support services. The department is a fully integrated team. Emergency services personnel are trained as firefighters and are also, registered paramedics, EMT's and EMR’s. When a St. Albert resident calls 911, the first responders are fire services' communications specialists who answer every fire and medical call ensuring that the appropriate apparatus and manpower are dispatched to every emergency while providing pre-arrival and post dispatch instructions.
St. Albert Fire Services is ready to respond to any emergency 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The department's dedicated team of professionals saves lives and protects properties by responding quickly and effectively to suppressing fires, providing medical and rescue attention in disaster and other emergency situations. The department provides emergency medical care to residents of St. Albert, Sturgeon County and the Edmonton Garrison. St. Albert Fire Services specialized services include ice/water rescue and dangerous goods intervention. "The $9M combined Fire Department Headquarters and Fire Station No. 3 houses Fire and EMS services for the city of St. Albert. The Fire Department Headquarters will include administration offices, communications centre, as well as training and emergency operations while the St. Albert Fire Station No. 3 will include four double bays, operations and support spaces, 12 sleeping rooms and a hose-training tower."
