Octagonal-design windows at entrance to temple

There are four identical windows flanking the front door. They are circular, a shape not particularly traditional in Chinese architecture, and the plain octagonal design does not seem to have any special meaning. Vermillion red is an auspicious color in Chinese culture, representing good fortune, happiness, wealth, fertility, and courage.
