Park at the north side of the closed "John Storrs Bridge" - (see nearest waymarks.) Walk directly to the riverbank and start casting. This location is well-stocked, because one of the state's main hatcheries is just upstream. My buddy Arthur calls this "his favorite spot" - he bags his limit regularly; and if you see a guy in waders and full camo (even his hat), whipping flies around, you've spotted Arthur. Say hi, he's a wealth of knowledge about this area, and about flyfishing in particular.
