The bus terminal at South Station in Boston, Massachusetts is part of a major transportation complex that has bus, train, transit and taxi service connections. This location is one of the busiest transportation hubs in the city. The entrance is at 700 Atlantic Avenue, a few hundred feet southwest from the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and Summer Street, or by walking from the South Station lobby down the platform for Track 1.
According to the South Station Web Site, both Greyhound and Peter Pan bus lines stop there. The terminal is open 24 hours a day. The Wikipedia site mentions other lines, including C&J Trailways, Concord Coach Lines, and Plymouth and Brockton Street Railway.
The bus terminal has rest room facilities and a small food court, mainly consisting of McDonalds and a Honey Dew Donuts. The nearby rail terminal of South Station has full facilities available. There are rest rooms and food, as well as a news stand, bookstore, chocolate shop, bank/ATM, and concession shops.
The terminal was opened around 1995. This greatly improved access to bus lines, and replaced a nearby facility.
