A short walk from a parking on Kendrick Street around a pond, this view is from a point that juts into Kendrick Pond where you can see ducks and geese swim or just quietly sit away from civilization.

Kendall Pond is in Cutler Park Reservation. This park is a favorite for hikers and mountain bikers. There are many great views from the park. While there aren't any high hills, there are glacial drumlins and eskers that provide some elevation. The number given is the approximate height above sea level, which is pretty much what everything else is, give or take about 50 feet. This view is the most defined lookout in the park, with benches to provide a place to sit (other than the ground). Since it is a spur off the main trail, you have a somewhat isolated location to contemplate the view. Ducks and geese are the most common wildlife you will see here, but song birds likely will visit, and you might catch the sight of a fish in the water.
The parking lot off Kendrick Street is small and other parking lots are private. Cutler Park is run by the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Reservation (DCR). The web site for the park and a map are here: (
