SPACE is an alternative arts venue located in the heart of the arts district in downtown Portland. It is located at 538 Congress Street. The original idea for a lunar lander Art-O-Mat was sketched out in 1999. When SPACE decided to become a machine host in 2004, this machine design was a perfect fit. SPACE hopes to feature some local artists in it's machine someday. Today the machine was not operational, a part inside is broken and the gentleman I talked with hoped it would be fixed soon. I would have tried it had it been working. This is a much better use of these machines!!
