Post was named after Porter L. Rich, a veteran killed in World War I.
The post home is very nice and a welcome addition to the community. Many receptions are held here along with monthly American Legion meetings.
Many funeral luncheons for deceased veterans have been held in the building.
Current membership is 95 members, with a membership goal for 2009 of 103.
