This sundial was dedicated in 1997, and at the time it was one of only four Analematic Sundials in Canada. The others were in Hamilton, Penticton and Calgary. It was the tenth one built in North America.
There is a dedication plaque on the east side of the sundial, to those from Norval's Veterans.
This is a fun sundial to visit, you stand at the appropriate month and your shadow casts on the current time!
