Large parking lot. Favorite canoe put in for the run to Fredericksburg. Also finishing point for the day long paddle from Ely's Ford. I have even seen a 12' Jon boat with 9.9 Hp motor put in here and go up river.
Wooden slide is best access to down river pool. The mud bank (photo 10 with WMK)is best access to paddle upstream and fish the upper pool.
In lower water there is a rapid at Mott's Run dividing the upper and lower pool.
Sorry for the river conditions in photos. The river was high after a week of rain.
