Holy Trinity Anglican Church overlooks Patricia Bay and the Saanich Inlet of the Salish Sea. Holy Trinity, consecrated in 1885 is the oldest church in North Saanich, is one of several pioneer churches in the Victoria, Saanich, Vancouver Island area still in active use. Lumber for construction was rafted down from Genoa By in 1884. The contract for building the church was given to T. B. Shaw, builder of St. Stephen's church in South Saanich, but most of the work was done by volunteers. the work was completed in June 1885 and Bishop Hills rode on horseback from Victoria to officially consecrate the church as the "Church of the Holy and Undivided Trinity". The church remains active, vibrant and supported by the parisioners. It remains a favourite site for weddings, christenings and funerals.
